If RWD won’t work for your business model, which is unlikely, you can go for a hybrid mobile solution. Just make sure mobile visitors get to your mobile site, and there are no content (or URL) conflicts that will end up messing your WordPress SEO. This Google SEO Guidebook has an entire section explaining how to go about it.
Ahrefs. No one even comes close. If I didn’t have Ahrefs, I’d use Majestic. If I didn’t have MJ, would I use OSE? I think I would just build my own index. Ahrefs is a tremendous tool for link mining. Their DR metric is totally decent too. I actually prefer it to the likes of other metrics because it’s link based. I know what I am getting and reporting on. When I hear a fellow SEO isn’t using Ahrefs…I can’t help but scratch my head.
I really liked what you said about using “because” in outreach emails. Am going to implement this immediately and record the results. Also loved the first tip about finding dead links on Wikipedia. In fact, I’m sure this post will spark an arms race for anyone that’s read it so I’m going to get onto that right away hehe!

Buzzsumo — Finds the most linked-to and shared content in any niche, along with your competitors best-performing content. If you have content already, it can uncover influencers who may amplify said content.
Not only are the tactics creative and unique, but you did an excellent job outlining each with step by step instructions, including great visuals, and providing concrete examples on how to implement the linking tactic. My favorite is probably the Flippa tactic. Amazing for pulling information on how other webmasters were able to acquire links, etc. Thanks again!
10. Remember that content is king. Building great content and keeping it up to date is the key to SEO. Search engines love sites like blogs, which are highly topical and regularly refreshed. But always remember to put your visitors first—at the end of the day, even a site that ranks well and gets lots of traffic is no good if the visitors don’t like what they see.
I also like to use this tool called Google Correlate. It helps you look at keywords that people queried when they searched the keywords you are targeting. Also SEM Rush is pretty pro for sniping competitors keywords.
56. Free SEO Training Course – Jason McDonald proposes some free webinars that introduce you to what he considers to be the top ten free SEO tools. Such a topic has to be of interest to both beginner and advanced optimizers, and especially to freelancing SEOs who might not dispose of the best budgets.
With the SEMrush workflow, identifying opportunities to increase brand awareness and reacting to them right away is easy. The whole team has access to the platform, so execution is streamlined because everyone is on the same page. Insights are translated seamlessly, keeping everyone up to date.
I attempted an earlier message, but it appears it didn’t go through. I just wanted to say thank you for all the quality content you spend hours putting together. I’ve deployed a number of techniques you’ve discussed and have seen a positive response from day one.

Ahrefs. This multipurpose tool allows me to monitor the backlink profile of my site and track new links as they come in. Also awesome for understanding my competitors’ backlinks and identifying new linking opportunities.
But given that user behavior and intent is different on mobile devices, the funnel can also to softer conversions – click for directions to a local store; click to call; email subscriptions; free trials; and so on — that don’t result in instant revenue but indisputably bring the user closer to purchase.
On the flip side, remember that any message you don’t control is potentially damaging. If you use affiliates, monitor them very closely, and consider crowding out brands whose message may override yours (“Save Money. Live Better” is definitely not associated with the Apple brand).
Ahrefs is one of the most popular keyword tool out there. What I really like about them is extensive detail including the keyword difficulty. Ahrefs uses clickstream data to also show how many clicks you will get from search engine. This is very useful after knowledge graph integration, as many keywords may have huge traffic but they hardly get any clicks from search engine. Reason being, they get answers directly from the Google search result. Example of one such query is: “birthdate of any celebrity”
29. E-commerce SEO: The Definitive Guide – For those of you interested in learning SEO for eCommerce, I recommend this dedicated guide written by Brian Dean. SEO is a very volatile industry because of the many changes that take place in the Google algorithm within a period. The algorithm set in place this month may not be the same the next. It is an always evolving algorithm that encourages SEO specialists to stay on their toes and keep abreast with updates.
I like with what Ana Hoffman said that you don’t need many tools to run a successful SEO campaign and Jennifer Horowitz uses her brain. After all a good SEO strategy is about understanding human psychology and strategy. That said, my fave tools are Long Tail Pro and Buzzsumo but my focus is more on content SEO than anything else. Just scrolling the results on Google to strategically analyse the search results for a given topic or keyword is one of the best things you can do to determine how you can create a more superior piece of content and reverse engineer popular content.
Ad groups allow for each campaign to be further subcategorized for relevance. In our hardware store example, one ad group could be for different types of rakes or varying models of leaf blowers. For the power tools campaign, one ad group might focus on power drills, while another could focus on circular saws. This level of organization might take slightly longer to set up initially, but the rewards – namely higher CTRs at lower cost – make this effort worthwhile in the long run.
A customizable work area allows you to filter out only the data you currently need. You can use tags to group or categorize your keywords and pages, export your data to a number of different formats, and work behind a proxy to stay within search engine limitations.
