Having a ‘keyword rich’ domain name may lead to closer scrutiny from Google. According to Moz, Google has “de-prioritized sites with keyword-rich domains that aren’t otherwise high-quality. Having a keyword in your domain can still be beneficial, but it can also lead to closer scrutiny and a possible negative ranking effect from search engines—so tread carefully.”
The second tool I use on a daily basis is accuranker.com. I have used just about every keyword ranking tool that exists. This is by far the best to date. If you are writing and focusing on ranking, this is the tool you want. The powerful filters, instant update checks, competitor analysis, and historical data make this easy to keep track of SERPs and know exactly what you should be focusing on. Take a day and focus on those blogs posts that are ranking on page 2 of SERPs and make them better! Then watch, monitor… and repeat.
I start off with some keyword research, deriving several alternatives to my primary keyword. But instead of writing content first and adding keywords later, I do both at the same time. How? I commit my primary keyword and a few alternatives to memory, and then write away. Provided you’ve researched your keywords as well as your content, the former will fall right into the latter. The keywords will fit right in. I don’t think about the keywords but when I’m done writing, the post is SEO ready. Of course, this is my own personal technique and might not work in your case. And I have perfected the technique over time, so feel free to devise your own technique – just make sure your keywords appear naturally in your content.
Don’t stuff keywords! This goes for all kinds of SEO, but it needs to be reiterated over and over again because even intelligent people make mistakes. But making this kind of mistake is very serious, and can land you in a heap of trouble from the search engines.
When a search engine user in the targeted area searches for the keywords or keyphrases that you chose, your ad enters an immediate online auction. Your ad is displayed when it matches bid and relevancy criteria, so you want to make sure that you have an appropriate budget size, and that you are bidding on keyphrases relevant to your products/services (such as those indicated on your website or landing page). You are not charged when your ad is displayed, but rather when someone clicks on your ad to take further action.
Note – I’m still not that obsessed with individual keyword rankings – I’m much more interested in creating good content on a site and acquiring backlinks as naturally as possible to build domain trust – and then unlocking that domain authority by publishing even more content, but in competitive sectors where the ‘linkerati’ seem to be thin on the ground, for specific keyword phrases, link building is still a must of course.

As for upcoming trends, I see an incoming rush for Virtual Reality (VR), There are actually existing VR coverage for things like that VR coverage that the New York times did of the war on Syria, or that VR coverage chronicling that music festival, etc. It won’t be long before users start wanting more of this stuff and it could be one frontier for SEOs to explore, get noticed, and start ranking for while it’s fresh, before more and more competition comes swarming.

You also need to consider the importance of hiring a company. Search engine optimization is not just done on a worldwide scale, as not every company is offering a product or service to a worldwide audience. Many companies within the San Francisco area, such as pizza shops, plumbers and electricians are catering specifically to a local audience. Google understands that fact and they give priority to certain searches so that local companies show up on top.
But since our objective is to rank higher and higher in Google (and Bing and Yahoo!), how do we create unique and valuable content that’s not meant to attract or “trick” the now-smarter search engine spiders? The simple answer is you should never look into creating content for search engines. Instead, create content for your human readers, and search engines will follow.
