SEMrush – This tool not only identifies keyword opportunities on your site you may have missed, but also reveals the top keywords used by your competitors – in both paid and organic search. It also helpfully provides keyword and ranking data beyond just the U.S. versions of the popular search engines.
I love how much information is on this list. Took me forever but I am so glad that I read it. I was shocked the SpyFu didn’t make the list. I have tried almost every one of the products listed and I ended up with SpyFu. The amount of data that it gives you access to is remarkable!
Online reputation matters a lot as 81% people search online before making up their minds. To leave a great first impression, you should have a clean image, which is not always possible. The reasons can be disgruntled customers, grouchy ex-employees or any other. We are a leading reputation management company in India. We will help you have a clean online image quickly.
With the addition of interest by country, marketers can use the short-term score to prepare content targeting the right audience for keywords before the masses catch on to its rising popularity. This gives you an edge over the competition by being first, thus getting citations from people who research and write about the topic later.
At WordStream, we eat, sleep, and breathe search engine marketing. Whether you’re a newcomer to paid search marketing or a seasoned professional, we want to provide you with everything you need to succeed at search engine marketing.
SEMrush is better priced than other SaaS-model tools like Moz, HubSpot or Raven, although SEO PowerSuite is still a less expensive solution with support of unlimited sites and keywords and more search engines.
Its true content is the reality of SEO. However, content, in and of itself, does NOTHING for your business (or your SEO, for that matter). It just sits right where you left it – on your site – like a good ol’ dog… and if you want it to fetch you traffic, sales, and, yes!, backlinks, you’ll actually have to take it a few steps further.
If you eat, sleep and breathe link building, then Ontolo is a tool I recommend checking out. It’s designed to do one thing: show you lots of link opportunities. Just enter a few keywords, tell Ontolo what types of links you want to get (for example:”links from guest posts”), and Ontolo will hand you a list of opportunities.
It’s not possible to cover everything about SEO for e-commerce sites in one article. The advice above has helped many e-commerce websites increase sales and revenue by large multiples, but it is only the tip of the iceberg.
Both SEO and SEM should be fundamental parts of your online marketing strategy. SEO is a powerful way to drive evergreen traffic at the top of the funnel, while search engine advertisements are a highly cost-effective way to drive conversions at the bottom of the funnel.
If you’ve been working with SEO for some time now, you might know about the Google SEO site tools we use to effectively create, manage and or even optimize PPC campaigns. But other than using Google Adwords/Analytics/Editor to effectively manage your campaign, you could use Wordstream instead.
29. E-commerce SEO: The Definitive Guide – For those of you interested in learning SEO for eCommerce, I recommend this dedicated guide written by Brian Dean. You would need to focus on more conversion-focused keywords, or search terms that express buyer intent. Building content, links, traffic and general site and brand authority require a different approach for eCommerce sites, and this guide is quite thorough in teaching you what to do and most importantly, how to do it. You will learn about keyword research and targeting, competitor tracking, site architecture, on-page SEO, internal links, technical SEO, content marketing, site auditing, and more.
50. KISSmetrics Webinars – These guys are also rather thorough when it comes to applying and teaching SEO techniques, and their webinars are held by some of the best names in the field. You can browse through their webinar archive for subjects you’re interested in, or sign up for their future webinars, which come out about once a week. It’s true that most of the topics they approach are advanced, but you can also find some which are more appropriate for beginner levels.
129. Free Keyword Tool from Wordtracker – As you may already know, Wordtracker specialize in creating highly performing keyword research tools. But they also offer a free version of their keyword tools. Albeit limited, if you’re a beginner and only starting to make keyword lists for your site to create content and pages, you may find this tool very useful. It gives you nicely related terms with their respective volumes, assigns a value to the level of competition for each term, and adds a very nice and useful KEI metric – the highest potential keywords in your market. You only get 10 related search terms at a time, but for some of you, it might be just perfect in the beginning, especially if you combine it with free tools.
And a good scraping/crawling tool for things like getting the lay of the land (crawling sites) to scraping specific data points, or mining footprints is a must have. Screaming Frog deserves a tip of the hat. Every other aforementioned need, I will generally build my own.
Screaming Frog is your one stop shop for any technical issues on the site. Using this tool and understanding the data will enable you to identify pretty much all technical issues that could be impacting the site from an SEO perspective.
One of the most challenging aspects of search engine marketing is understanding which parts of your campaigns need attention and which are performing well. To find out how well your account is doing, try WordStream’s free AdWords Performance Grader.
133. WebmasterWorld – It may be difficult to make sense of this complex forum at first, but it doesn’t get any better than this. Everything “webmaster” is discussed in here, and you’ll also stay on top of news concerning Google, social media platforms, and more. At the bottom of the page, there is a forum index, so you can select the subjects you’re interested in. I suggest starting with Google SEO and checking out some of the discussions there. You must register before having access to forums and threads.
Many marketers like to compare organic SEO to public relations or “earned media” because there is no guarantee of success, making the ROI on earned media (including SEO) a challenge to predict and sometimes a challenge to measure. In both SEO and PR, marketers have the option of hiring internal staff, bringing in consultants, or using an outside agency. The same options apply for paid search marketing.
Broken links might seem like a small problem – especially if they’re populating your blog rather than a category or product page – but please don’t overlook them. They make for a poor user experience and, if left unattended, have the potential to impact your SEO too.
ScreamingFrog – What’s not to say that hasn’t already been said about SF. If you’re in the technical SEO realm, this tool is for you. The ability to quickly diagnose issues at scale is what makes this tool so powerful!
